Four stages. One commitment, only if you hire.
We operate the proof sequence in the open. Every stage is something you can walk away from, and every stage makes it easier to trust the next one.
- t = 0Stage 01Cost: Free
You submit a request.
A short form on the hire page. We ask for the role, the level, the timeline, and the budget. If there are details that matter to you that the form doesn’t capture, the last field is free-form.
- t ≈ 72 hoursStage 02Cost: Free
A shortlist arrives in your inbox.
Three to five engineers we’ve already vetted, interviewed, and matched to what you described. Each profile includes their background, what they’ve shipped, where they’re based, their rate, and our internal notes on why we think they fit.
If nothing matches, you walk. We’ve cost you nothing.
- t + 1 – 2 weeksStage 03Cost: Candidate rate + reduced platform fee
You run a paid trial.
Three to five days of real work, scoped with the candidate before it starts. The candidate is paid at their usual rate. You pay their rate plus a reduced platform fee for the trial duration.
This protects everyone. The candidate isn’t giving away time for free. You see how they work before you commit. We don’t stake our placement record on matches we haven’t stress-tested.
- on hireStage 04Cost: 10% of first-year salary
You hire. We charge 10%.
Ten percent of first-year base salary, due within thirty days of the hire starting. No monthly fees, no per-candidate fees, no retainer.
If the placement fails within thirty days for role-fit reasons, we source a replacement free, or refund half the fee at your option. Unrelated layoffs, company pivots, and restructures are not covered. Genuine fit failures are.
At the 30-day mark, if the match is working, you and the engineer formalize with a standard employment contract. Three, six, or twelve months minimum, at your option. That contract is between the two of you; we stay available but step out of the day-to-day.
