TalentLayer operates as a premium placement service. The placement fee is 10% of first-year base salary, due within 30 days of the hired engineer’s start date. Paid trial engagements are billed at the candidate’s rate plus a reduced platform fee.
The 30-day replacement guarantee applies to role-fit failures. It does not cover unrelated layoffs, company pivots, or restructures initiated by the client.
After the 30-day guarantee window, the client and engineer enter into a standard employment contract. The minimum initial term is three, six, or twelve months at the client’s option. This contract is between the client and the engineer; TalentLayer is not a party to it.
